Monique was initially employed by Econometrix as assistant to Dr Jammine and event organiser. However, she gradually took on the role of proofreader and copy-editor due to her language skills and slightly obsessive attitude to spelling, grammar, and good writing. She is not known as the word nerd for nothing! Her primary role now is editing the scores of reports published by the various economists and the many research projects commissioned on an ad hoc basis.
Monique holds a BA in languages from Wits, a post-graduate diploma in translation from Unisa and a certificate in proofreading & copy-editing from UCT.
