Whatever the reason for this negative outcome in the QES from a job’s point of view, one cannot escape from the conclusion that the country continues to fail in creating formal sector jobs.

The data again points to the manner in which deindustrialisation of the economy continues to take hold, and government economic policy is failing conspicuously to address this trend despite avowed intentions to the contrary.
