Econometrix is offering a Junior Economist opportunity to a driven individual with a passion for economics.
To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:
A post-graduate degree in Economics/Econometrics, or studying towards a post-graduate degree in Economics/Econometrics.
Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English.
An excellent grasp of macroeconomic theory.
Strong research and report-writing skills.
Strong computer skills (specifically MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
The ability to work with complex datasets, interpret economic trends and assess policy implications.
Excellent analytical reasoning and problem solving abilities, and the ability to pay attention to detail.
The ability to think creatively, take initiative and work well in a team.
Conducting economic research and analysis and write short reports on various macro-economic indicators.
Updating, management and expansion of the company’s database.
Chart and presentation preparation.
Assistance with the on-going product preparation/distribution.
Client interaction and dealing with queries.
Research assistance in consulting projects.
